Just a few kilometres from hu Firenze Certosa camping in town, September brings one of Impruneta’s most deeply rooted traditions: the Festa dell’Uva.
First held in 1926 and now celebrating a century of history, it is one of Italy’s longest-running festivals. Throughout the month, the four local districts – Fornaci, Pallò, Sant’Antonio and Sante Marie – bring Impruneta to life with dinners, gatherings and events that show just how strong the bond is between the community and this celebration.
The most eagerly awaited moment comes on the last Sunday of September, when Piazza Buondelmonti becomes the stage for the main parade. Floats built by local volunteers, costumes, music and choreography come together in four different performances, one for each district.
It’s more than a festival to watch: it’s a whole month shared together, shaped by creativity, tradition and the special energy that fills the town when everyone gathers in the square.
