Galluzzo, first Sunday of July
Just a few minutes from Florence, Galluzzo celebrates the 50th anniversary of its historic Palla Pillotta: a Renaissance costume game reminiscent of Florence’s Calcio Storico, but with lighter rules and a strong community spirit. The Yellows of Galluzzo Vecchio and the Blues of Corte Regia face off on a dirt pitch, preceded by a historic parade with music, flags, and ladies in period dress.
Tradition, sport, and belonging come together in a day that smells of history and life in the open air.
